Middle and high school students from around School District 43 will be showcasing their work to stop bullying at a special event this Monday.

From 1 to 3 p.m. on April 29 at Winslow Centre in Coquitlam, students from the SD43 Student Leadership Council will be putting on presentations, videos, displays and other activities for an event called Sow Love and Compassion: Positive Chain Reaction.

Caitlin Hamilton, a Grade 7 student at Maillard middle and a member of the SLC media committee, said the event will be a chance for the public to learn what schools are doing to combat bullying.

"I think it's important because if it's just one individual school, you don't have much to go on; if every school shows what they are doing at the same time, it can make a big impact," Hamilton said.
