FOX 35: BC/Yukon office ready for Sunday's run

Donna White is the director of the Terry Fox Foundation provincial office on Shaughnessy Street in Port Coquitlam.

It may have been quiet at Terry Fox Foundation's BC and Yukon office earlier this month but, come Sunday, Kirsten Fox, Donna White, Florence Vandebeek and Lauren Jernigan will be at the Port Coquitlam headquarters to celebrate each run site as organizers call in to share successes.

"It's a day better than Christmas," said White, the charity's provincial director (wearing a red Terry's Team T-shirt).

For the 35th anniversary year, the Shaughnessy Street office will handle 113 run sites in B.C. and the Yukon as well as "help to support all of the events taking place in schools, communities, daycares, seniors' centres and numerous special events," White said.

Last year, the BC/Yukon office raised about $1.5 million from non-school activities in Fox's name.
