A gas leak has closed a stretch of Poirier Street in Coquitlam and afternoon commuters are being asked to avoid the area if they can.
The city of Coquitlam said that RCMP officers and FortisBC crews are in the area trying to fix the leak, which is believed to be in the 700 block of Poirier.
The city made the announcement at around 3 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon.
