If you're wanting a good seat for Saturday's Rotary May Days parade, it's best you get downtown early.
And it's best if you get there by public transit, bicycle or on foot, the city says.
Parking will be tight in the core, with the rebuild of the Port Coquitlam recreation complex and at other apartment construction sites.
A limited number of parking lot stalls will be open at the Legion and Masonic halls, off Shaughnessy Street, and at the West Coast Express station.
On-street parking won't be an option in the area between Shaughnessy Street, Mary Hill Road and Elgin and Wilson avenues because of the parade road closures.
As a result, drivers are asked find a street spot in the south end of downtown in time to catch the pre-parade show by the Vancouver Police Department Motorcycle Drill Team at 10:30 a.m.
The procession officially begins at 11 a.m. and will include more than 100 entries. Last year's event drew more than 10,000 visitors.
