Have your say on Port Coquitlam's transportation plan

Port Coquitlam residents can voice their thoughts on the city's transportation system at an open house this month.

Port Coquitlam residents can voice their thoughts on the city's transportation system at an open house this month.

Staff is looking for feedback to help shape its Master Transportation Plan, which will guide the city's decisions relating to local pedestrian, bicycle, transit and road networks for the next decade.

The public open house will be held on June 12 between 6 and 8 p.m. at the Outlet (2253 Leigh Square). Visitors will be able to view display boards and speak to consultants and provide feedback on what direction they feel the city should be taking with its transportation initiatives.

There will also be an online survey available on the city's website between June 13 and 20 which residents can access by going to www.portcoquitlam.ca/mtp.

The city began its MTP update in 2011 and will present the final draft copy to the community and council for feedback and adoption this fall.
