Port Moody Rotary is inviting local children to make Valentine's Day cards for seniors.

Port Moody Rotary is inviting kids to spread a little joy to seniors.

The service club will be collecting Valentine’s Day cards created by children until Feb. 3 to be be distributed to residents at Eagle Ridge Manor.

“Valentine’s Day is a special day to show love and appreciation to those around us,” said a news release from Rotary.

“Encourage your children to use their artistic skills to make unique and personalized cards that will brighten someone’s day.”

The cards can use construction paper, markers and glitter — whatever their creators can conjure.

When finished, the cards can be dropped off at the St. James Well Pub in NewPort Village.

The Rotarians will deliver them to the seniors at Eagle Ridge Manor.
