A judicial recount for the provincial riding of Coquitlam-Maillardville will start at 9 a.m. on Tuesday.

Elections BC said the district electoral officer, Bob Johnston, applied on Wednesday to B.C. Supreme Court to start the process that will be supervised by a judge, the candidates and their agents.

This week, after the final count of absentee ballots, Coquitlam Coun. Selina Robinson of the BC NDP won the race by 35 votes over the BC Liberals' Steve Kim.

It will be the fourth judicial recount in B.C. since 1996, the most recent happening in 2009 in Delta South when Vicki Huntington overtook Wally Oppal.
