Coquitlam Centre is launching Holiday Hearts, a campaign benefiting five Lower Mainland charities.
For every child that visits Santa, Coquitlam Centre will donate $1 to one of the five charities the child chooses. The choices are: Variety - The Children's Charity, BC Children's Hospital Foundation, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Canuck Place and CHILD Foundation).
In recognition of their good deed, each child will receive a cut-out Holiday Heart that they can write their name on. All Holiday Hearts will then be hung on the Children's Giving Tree located in Santaland.
"Each year, we try to make the holidays extra special by bringing families and communities together," explains Deborah Stetz, marketing director of Coquitlam Centre. "All our holiday events, especially the Holiday Hearts campaign, make it easy for shoppers to do all their Christmas shopping and experience holiday traditions while making a difference in the lives of those in need this winter. It's our way of making this a truly joyful season of giving for everyone."
