Motorists should remain alert while traveling the Highway 1 corridor at night because of construction-related detours, according to a PMH1 construction bulletin.
Temporary traffic pattern changes will begin Jan. 20 and continue for four consecutive nights to enable crews to continue building the new ramp connecting Lougheed Highway westbound to Highway 1 eastbound.
The following detours will be in effect from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. between Jan. 20-24.
Highway 1 westbound will detour at Exit 44 (Cape Horn Interchange) and re-enter Highway 1 at the Coleman on-ramp.
The Cape Horn access to Highway 1 eastbound will be closed. Lougheed Highway traffic travelling to HIghway 1 eastbound will use the Brunette Interchange instead, approximately three kilometres to the west.
