The Editor:
Kudos to the City of Coquitlam for hosting and running a very fun family event for the young kids on Family Day Monday, Feb. 19, at the Poirier Community Centre and arena.
Our family stumbled into the centre by chance on the way to the Express hockey game and were kept very busy by our son's joy at craft making, play gym, and refreshments stations.
Perhaps the event can be better marketed in the future to reach out to more families like ours.
Finding this free and fun event made our son's day.
