Re: Iconic trees in front of Port Coquitlam City Hall are gone. What happens next? (March 23, 2022)

I have had the good fortune of travelling to many places in the world and one of my favourite stories to tell is about the city hall park in my hometown of Port Coquitlam.

If you caught the cherry trees during those few perfect days of spring, you were surrounded by luminous pink petals.

It was like dragging your feet through a fresh snowfall.

Now these mature trees have been cut down and will be replaced by an unnecessary overpriced, open concept city hall.

No thank you to destroying one of the cutest downtowns in the Lower Mainland.

Brad West, you should be ashamed of yourself.
