The Port Coquitlam centennial May Day parade on May 13, 2023.

The Editor, I want to express my heartfelt thanks to Port Coquitlam Mayor Brad West, council and staff for an amazing job on the 100th May Days celebration (May 17).

I had family visiting from out of town and they were wowed by the number of activities, entertainment, carnival rides and more.

They remarked that you could tell how much people were enjoying themselves and loving their community.

I felt an immense amount of pride in Port Coquitlam.

There are so many positive things happening in the city these days.

It was wonderful to celebrate. - Michelle Reid, Port Coquitlam
