Lions Park is located north of downtown Port Coquitlam.

The Editor:

On the morning of Jan. 27, around 8:30 a.m., I went to Lions Park to walk my dog.

We ran around the park for a while and when I got back in the car, I noticed I was missing my phone.

I asked a person in a car next to me to if he could please call me to see if I had left it at home, someone would answer.

No luck, no one answered it.

Then, I thought it must have fallen out of my jacket pocket while I was jogging around with my dog.

I went back and looked all over and ran through the whole trail we had gone through to see if I could find it.

My concern was that I had my phone and my documents in the phone wallet.

I went back to the car, worried and thinking of all the things I had to do: block my credit cards, get a new license, my care card, etc.

To my surprise, when I got home, I found a little bag (those dog poop bags that you can get free at the park) on the floor in front of my door.

When I saw it, I wondered what could that be and as I got closer, I could not believe my eyes!

Inside the bag was my phone, all my documents and the money in the wallet! Someone had found it.

They saw my address in the driver’s license and were so kind to go to my house to drop it there.

My kids say they heard the knock on the door but when they went out to see, through the window, there was no one there.

I don’t know who it was.

They did not leave a note.

All I know is that it was a kind and thoughtful person that did my day!

I hope this person is reading this as I have no other way to thank them.

There is no doubt there are many good people in our neighbourhood.

You are an exemplary human being! You are an angel!

Thank you so much.
