Little monsters invited to 'slightly spooky' Coquitlam children's Halloween concert

Are you excited that Halloween is right around the corner?

Tri-Cities families are being invited to get into the festive spirit by bringing their children to an enchanting concert in Coquitlam.

On Sunday, Oct. 29, Mr. I's Slightly Spooky Songs and Stories concert will return to Place des Arts (1120 Brunette Ave.) and create a fun atmosphere for the whole family.

The children's show is organized annually by Place des Arts faculty member, local music teacher and children's entertainer Yurgen Ilaender (known as Mr. I), and is open for children aged two and up.

Mr. I, who has taught the Musical Rainbow program for children for over 35 years, instills a love of music and encourages children to make music a part of their life-long learning, according to a news release.

Parents and children alike can enjoy a fun evening consisting of upbeat music, delightful tales to get right into the Halloween spirit. Tickets are priced at $10 for the two hour concert.

Costumes are strongly recommended, Place des Arts' statement reads.
