Three term Coquitlam Coun. Barrie Lynch has announced that he will seek the mayor's chair in this November's civic election.
Lynch, who has been a long time Coquitlam resident, said in a press release his platform will focus on tax rates, transportation improvements, business recruitment and retention, housing, recreation and environmental issues.
He is formerly a justice of the peace and now works on a part-time basis as an ambulance paramedic. Lynch also runs a successful consulting practice providing advice to not for profit organizations and is a Certified Association Executive and a Professional Registered Parliamentarian.
In the last election he obtained the most votes out of any councillors running.
