MADD will be taking their anti-impaired driving message to Port Coquitlam next month.

The organization will be presenting No Tomorrow, a 45-minute program that explores how mixing alcohol and drugs with driving can have devastating consequences. The assembly will take place at Archbishop Carney on Feb. 19, at 1:15 p.m.

"One choice, one split-second decision, and your life can change forever," said MADD Canada regional manager Tracy Crawford. "We want students to understand how driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs can impact their lives."

According to MADD, traffic crashes are the largest cause of death for people between the ages of 16 and 25. More than 50% of those fatalities involve alcohol or drugs.

"We want to motivate [students] to always make the right decision and protect themselves and their friends from impaired driving," Crawford added.

MADD said No Tomorrow tells the fictional story of Marcus, Corey, Trevor and Lee, musicians that won a contest to record a demo and audition for a music school. However, when Trevor shows up impaired to the audition, he is not offered a spot at the school and storms off in his car.

"What happens next will change all of their lives forever," said MADD in a press release.
