The Coquitlam RCMP is asking the public to be on the lookout for a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a female realtor during an open house in May.
According to police, the woman did not suffer any physical injury and was able to convince the man to leave the home, where she was conducting an open house.
He is described as an Asian male in his mid 30s, with dark hair and eyes with some bumps on his face. At the time of the incident he was wearing a t-shirt, jeans and running shoes.
Coquitlam RCMP Cpl. Jamie Chung told The Tri-City News that the incident occurred at a home on Rowland Street in Port Coquitlam on May 4. He said it took investigators a while to conduct the initial police work and create the sketch of the suspect, which is why it took time before going public to seek assistance.
Chung added that these types of incidents are rare in Port Coquitlam and that the realtor was fortunate to be able to get the man to leave the home.
"She was able to usher him out the door," he said. "He did, so she was not physically hurt. She was able to close the doors."
