Meghan Lahti eyeing seat on Port Moody council for Nov. election

Another candidate has announced plans to run in the 2014 municipal election. Meghan Lahti, who served on Port Moody council from 1996 to 2011, is looking for a seat at the PoMo council table again in the Nov.

Another candidate has announced plans to run in the 2014 municipal election.

Meghan Lahti, who served on Port Moody council from 1996 to 2011, is looking for a seat at the PoMo council table again in the Nov. 15 contest with plans to safeguard the city's "small-town charm," she said in a press release yesterday.

"Residents have voiced concern about the lack of vision and direction from the current council," Lahti stated. "I believe that I can provide the leadership needed."

Lahti is a regional director of operations with Sprott Shaw College.
