Mental health warrant issued for missing man: Coquitlam RCMP

Fitsum Zewdu, 31, was last seen on Friday, March 29, according to Coquitlam RCMP.

A BC Mental Health Act warrant is issued for a man missing from Coquitlam.

Police say Fitsum Zewdu, 31, was last seen on Friday, March 29, at 9 a.m. and “may behave in a way that presents a risk to himself or the public.”

Coquitlam RCMP say there is a concern for his well being and are required to return him to a designated facility.

He is described as:

  • Black
  • 5’11”
  • medium build
  • black hair
  • brown eyes
  • Last seen wearing....
    • black jacket
    • white pants
    • black shoes
    • black backpack

Anyone who sees Fitsum Zewdu is asked not to approach him and to call 911 instead.
