A man who earlier this week walked away from an independent boarding house located on the Riverview Hospital grounds has been found.
Cao Phan, a 49-year-old who suffers from a mental illness requiring him to take medication, was last seen on Sept. 19, 2011, but returned on his own in the last couple of days.
This is not the first time Phan has left the facility without permission. In March 2011 he walked away from the Riverview Hospital grounds, where officials said he has lived for a number of years.
In both instances Phan was declared unlawfully at large from his court-ordered residence and the public was warned not approach him.
