The next round of public discussion on School District 43's budget and how to make up an estimated $13.4 million shortfall will take place tomorrow and a number of groups are planning to present.

An open house will take place from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in the Winslow Centre gym, followed by a meeting at 8:30 in the Gallery room where six groups plan to speak.

They include parents from Hillcrest middle school, teachers, library assistants, youth workers and CUPE local 561.

According to SD43 officials, higher benefit, salary and utility costs and the need to pay off last year's deficit and set aside a contingency fund have created a budget shortfall for next year.
