Need cash for post-secondary tuition? Coquitlam Foundation can help

Individuals and organizations have until Sunday, March 31, 2024, to submit a bid for post-secondary tuition, an area of study or sports; or funding for a special project.

Tri-City residents and groups can now apply for grants, scholarships and bursaries from the Coquitlam Foundation, a philanthropic group that aims to build legacies in the community.

Individuals and organizations have until Sunday, March 31, 2024, to submit a bid for money for a special project, or funding for post-secondary tuition, an area of study or sports.

In June, the foundation awarded $132,595 to nonprofits and students through the following reserves:

  • Coquitlam Foundation Community Fund
  • Engineered Bodies Continuing Eduction Fund
  • Mayor’s Community Fund Scholarships
  • Raymond A. LeClair Memorial Scholarships
  • Symington Endowment Fund

A volunteer committee will review the 2024 applications and the foundation’s board of directors will have the final say; the winners will be notified in May and will be invited to attend the awards night on June 5, 2024, at the Evergreen Cultural Centre.

This year’s foundation board is made up of:
