Artifacts from Terry Fox's Marathon of Hope are now on display at the Canadian Museum of History as part of a new exhibit on the Port Coquitlam hometown hero.

Fox's family his friend Doug Alward and Tri-City MP James Moore were at the Gatineau, Que., museum Wednesday for the unveiling of the display that marks the 35th anniversary of his run.

Among the items in the exhibit, which is open until Jan. 24, 2016, are Fox's Marathon of Hope T-shirt, his journal, pennants and the jug of water he collected from the Atlantic Ocean at the start of his run on April 12, 1980.
