Last month's election of two Coquitlam councillors as MLAs will mean new faces on many city committees and task groups.

But the appointments previously held by councillors Linda Reimer and Selina Robinson won't be the only roster change.

Coun. Lou Sekora quit last week as chair of the Maillardville Commercial and Cultural Revitalization Advisory Committee. The former committee vice-chair, Coun. Craig Hodge, will now take over the top job, with Coun. Brent Asmundson as vice-chair.

Hodge has also been named as alternate to Coun. Mae Reid on the Metro Vancouver board of directors and a member of the regional environment and parks committee - two of Robinson's posts.

Her vice-chair roles on the Celebrate Coquitlam Advisory Panel, Coquitlam River Aggregate Committee and Universal Access-Ability Advisory Committee will be taken over by Sekora, Reid and Coun. Neal Nicholson, respectively.

Robinson was also the council rep on the Coquitlam River Watershed Roundtable and Tri-Cities Homelessness and Housing Task Group; those posts will now be filled by Coun. Terry O'Neill and Nicholson.

As for Reimer's committees, the vice-chair role on the Multiculturalism Advisory Committee will be held by Sekora; and council rep spots for the Joint Family Court Youth Justice and the Tri-Cities Early Childhood Development committees will be taken over by Reid and Nicholson.

Reimer and Robinson are currently on leaves of absences from their civic duties.

Meanwhile, the names for a new task force looking at public art options for the Evergreen Line stations was released this week. Headed up by O'Neill with Nicholson as vice-chair, the task force will be made up of Wendy Anderson, Ann Carlsen, Maria Centola, Matt Djonlic, Gabriela Diaconu, Tara King and Anna Tremere. Its first meeting will be held next month.
