To our valued readers,

We are excited to announce some important changes at The Tri-City News as we continue to adapt and evolve in an ever-changing media landscape.

It’s an exciting time for the media industry and this digital age offers incredible opportunities for our newspaper.

As valued Tri-City News readers, you are consuming your news and advertising in more ways than ever, and we’re always looking for ways to serve everyone who is interested in the kind of hyper-local coverage that The Tri-City News and tricitynews.com provide.

Since 1985, we’ve produced a range of local news, lifestyle, sports and community stories that nobody can match. And we’ve stayed nimble over the years, adapting and changing to ensure we stay relevant to readers on multiple platforms.

We know it’s important to put the right resources in the right places at the right time.

To that end, beginning in the new year, The Tri-City News will move to one edition a week, allowing us to put even more resources into our digital platforms.

Starting Jan. 3, 2019, The Tri-City News — packed with all of the usual news, flyers, features and advertising — will arrive on your doorstep every Thursday.

And every day, our talented editorial team will put even more resources into posting the best news, sports and community events on our digital platforms
for 24/7 coverage at tricitynews.com.

If anything says success, it’s boosting the amount of content a newspaper produces, both in print and online.

The result of all of these changes is that readers will receive a bigger newspaper on their doorsteps every Thursday that’s loaded with all the local coverage and advertising they have come to expect from The Tri-City News.

We know many readers prefer to get their community information this way and we believe there’s still very much a place for a printed product in today’s world
in addition to a bolstered digital presence.

Businesses must evolve in order to thrive and that’s what we’re doing.

We’re excited by this latest chapter in The Tri-City News’ 33-year history and look forward to serving our readers and clients for many more years to come.

Looking to a bright future with our readers,
