Experts are warning of localized flooding and water pooling as a drenching day is forecast across the Tri-Cities.
Environment Canada is issuing a rainfall warning for Metro Vancouver and its surrounding neighbourhoods as up to 50 mm of heavy downpour may accumulate between today (Nov. 2) and tomorrow (Nov. 3).
This includes Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody.
As of 10:30 a.m. this morning, meteorologists are predicting an "intense" Pacific frontal system to bring the rain to B.C.'s south coast and further inland.
"The highest rainfall amounts of 50 mm will occur over municipalities in the vicinity of the North Shore mountains," the warnign reads.
"The rain will ease Wednesday morning to some scattered showers."
In October, Coquitlam saw more than 333 mm of rain at its Burke Mountain gauge.
