The Fountainhead Network Coworking and Media Space in Port Coquitlam is offering a free week of use at its Westwood Street location to help local businesses and individuals thrive and connect.

A Port Coquitlam business is giving content creators and aspiring entrepreneurs an opportunity to thrive in a productive environment this week.

Starting Tuesday (Aug. 8), the public is being invited to freely utilize The Fountainhead Network Media and Coworking Space (TFN) at no cost.

Known as "coworking week," the organization said the biannual event it provides vibrancy among local creators and independent businesspeople while eliminating potential distractions.

It'll also coincide with International Coworking Day on Aug. 9.

TFN has called PoCo home for more than three years after starting up during the COVID-19 pandemic on the second floor of its Westwood Street office building.

Since then, hundreds of people across different industries in the Tri-Cities have used Fountainhead's open office area with desks 55 inches apart, media studios, workshop classrooms and board rooms.

"Coworking week" is set to offer free exclusive access to TFN's lounge, its wired hot desks with high speed internet and other resources.

But above all, owners Mike Arboit and Erin Scarlett are hoping the free week can provide networking opportunities for entrepreneurs.

"A lot of other co-working spaces don't have our family vibe, too," said Arboit in an earlier interview with the Tri-City News

"We didn't see anything like this anywhere. We wanted something locally so people didn't have to go downtown for everything anymore."

TFN, located at 204-3242 Westwood St., will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. between Aug. 8 and 11 for coworking week.

Interested users must RSVP to participate — all of whom will be entered into a draw to win a free one-month membership.
