An open house for Kinder Morgan's Trans Mountain Pipeline Expansion project is taking place Thursday, April 3. People interested in talking to experts, engineers and other project team members can attend the drop-in session running from 7:30-9:30 p.m. at the Executive Plaza Hotel, 405 North Road, Coquitlam.

Kinder Morgan, which owns Trans Mountain and pays currently pays Coquitlam $138,000 a year in taxes for an existing pipeline through the city, wants to twin its Edmonton to Burnaby pipeline through part of the Tri-Cities.
Coquitlam has applied for intervenor status, along with Port Moody and Belcarra, in the hearings for the pipeline expansion.
