Photos: Some of the best high school boys basketball teams are playing in this Port Moody tournament

The championship game of the Kodiak Klassic tournament at Heritage Woods Secondary will be played Saturday, Dec. 2, at 8:45 p.m.

The Heritage Woods Kodiaks will play the St. Patrick Celtics tonight, Dec. 1, in the consolation bracket of the annual Kodiak Klassic senior boys' high school basketball tournament.

The host team lost its second round game 68-51 against the Fleetwood Park Dragons Thursday, Nov. 30, at Heritage Woods Secondary.

The Kodiaks opened the tournament with a 88-49 win over the GW Graham Grizzles from Chilliwack.

The tournament continue Saturday, Dec. 2, with the championship game scheduled for 8:45 p.m. at the Port Moody school.

It features some of the top teams in the province, including the No. 1 Oak Bay Royals, along with the West Vancouver Highlanders (3), Vancouver College Fighting Irish (4), Semiahmoo Thunderbirds (7), Elgin Park Orcas (8) and the Kelowna Owls (10).

Three other teams — Burnaby South, Fleetwood Park and Handsworth — received honourable mentions in the most recent rankings, released on Nov. 22.
