Thousands of students, teachers and parent volunteers have been descending on Coquitlam’s Percy Perry Stadium this week for the annual School District 43 (SD43) elementary school track and field meets.
The Grade 3, 4 and 5 students from schools across the district compete for ribbons in events like 100m and 400m races, long jump, high jump, shot put and discus, as well as to improve their physical fitness.
The event started Tuesday, May 21, with competition running 9 a.m. to 2:10 p.m. daily through Friday, May 24.
