Today, Monday, Pinetree secondary school students in Coquitlam will be among 21 high school-based 'companies' to test their business skills in an all-day competition at the Coast Coal Harbour Hotel in downtown Vancouver.

The 14th annual BC Business Challenge, hosted by Junior Achievement of British Columbia (JABC) is a fast-paced competition where grade 11 and 12 students take on the role of high-tech executives in a global business simulation.

The intense day of game-play has teams working against the clock to develop management strategies for their imaginary companies, analyzing financial reports and scrutinizing the actions of other companies in a futuristic marketplace.

Teams will play two games during the day, followed by an awards presentation and announcement of the winners at 2:30 p.m.
