Want to air your views to Coquitlam council about the city's roads, recreation programs or RCMP services?

City hall is opening its doors - and turning on its computers - next week for its first eTownhall meeting.

Residents can ask questions to Mayor Richard Stewart, councillors and city managers in person in the council chambers (3000 Guildford Way) on Saturday, April 20.

Alternatively, citizens can watch a live broadcast of the meeting and submit queries online via email ([email protected]), Facebook and Twitter.

A Facebook site will be set up by April 20 and participants can register; for Twitter, a hashtag will be posted on the city's website (coquitlam.ca) an hour before the event starts.

Council will respond to online questions during the meeting, which runs from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m., although, if the volume of queries is high, not all submissions may be answered in time.

Questions and suggestions - in person or online - will be considered part of the public record.

For more information about the eTownhall, call the city clerk's office at 604-927-3010 or email [email protected].
