More than $22,000 is set to be handed out to six community groups in Port Coquitlam.
This week, committee of council recommended $5,000 be distributed to the Polonez Tri-City Polish Association, Foolish Operations Society and the Hope Lutheran Christian School each, under the fall intake of the city’s community cultural development investment program.
Another $4,788 will go to the Port Coquitlam Heritage and Cultural Society while the Autumn Moon Festival will receive $1,600 and the Hyde Creek Watershed Society, which last Sunday held its annual open house, will see $1,500.
The grants are expected to be approved by city council next Tuesday.
