Police identify suspect in string of robberies

Coquitlam RCMP have identified a suspect in a string of bank robberies over the past two weeks.

Shortly after 1 p.m. on May 22 a man walked into a bank in the 3000-block of Lincoln Avenue in Port Coquitlam and allegedly demanded money, indicating he had a weapon.

Coquitlam RCMP's Robbery Section, in co-operation with the Vancouver and New Westminster police departments as well as the Surrey and Langley RCMP, identified the man now wanted for one count of robbery. He is also under investigation as a person of interest for similar offences in neighbouring jurisdictions.

Police are asking for the public's help in locating 18-year-old Cang Wawu. He is described as being 5'9" tall, 141 pounds with a medium build and shaved black hair.
