Coquitlam RCMP are investigating an assault in Port Coquitlam Monday morning.
Police responded to a report of an injured man in the 1500-block of Grant Avenue. A man who is known to police was taken to hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Police would not say whether he was found inside or outside a home, only that public safety is not believed to be at risk and the investigation is ongoing.
