A 16-year old girl is in stable but critical condition after being struck by a car while crossing the street to catch a bus on Como Lake Avenue in Coquitlam Thursday evening.
Coquitlam RCMP are seeking witnesses to the incident that took place just before 6 p.m. between Blue Mountain and Robinson.
Impairment has been ruled out at this time for the driver, police report, but speed was a factor and the investigation is ongoing.
The driver, an 18-year-old male, is cooperating with police and was released on the scene.
