Coquitlam RCMP are seeking witnesses to an accident between a Black Ford 150 and a Green Honda CRV at the intersection of the Mary Hill Bypass and Coast Meridian Road.
The incident occurred around 7 a.m. Monday morning and resulted in one individual being sent to Royal Columbian Hospital with life threatening injuries. Another person sustained minor injuries and was taken to Eagle Ridge Hospital, police say.
Cpl. Jamie Chung of the Coquitlam RCMP said police have very little information and are seeking details from people who may have witnessed that accident that shut down Mary Hill Bypass eastbound for several hours.
Investigators don't believe alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash and it's too soon to tell what contributing factors were involved," Cpl. Chung stated in a press release.
"If you have information about this collision, you are urged to call the Coquitlam RCMP at 604-945-1561 and ask to speak to Sergeant Dave Fee.
