Four people were arrested Wednesday morning in Port Coquitlam on Laurier Street.

Coquitlam RCMP were called to the 300-block of the street, located on the eastern edge of the community, for a report of a stolen vehicle parked on the road.

When police arrived, the vehicle's two occupants bolted from the car and ran into the rental house in which they were parked in front, said Cpl. Jamie Chung, RCMP spokeman.

A dog team was brought in and the house surrounded, he said.

After a few minutes, one man exited the house and was taken into custody.

The homeowner gave police permission to enter the home, and arrested two more males and one female, he said.

Charges are pending, said Chung.
