The municipality that bills itself as The City of the Arts wants to figure out ways to encourage murals on private property.
Port Moody city council has approved a recommendation from its arts and culture committee to put together a streamlined outdoor mural permit application process. It also recommended creating a grant to offset a percentage of the costs to property owners.
A committee report cited New Westminster as a city that has a process it could emulate.
