Port Coquitlam is adding days to its garbage collection schedule to help residents avoid long gaps in service over the holidays.
The schedule will add pickup days on:
Dec. 16-20: Recycling and garbage cart pickup in all zones, based on usual pickup day;
Dec. 23, 24 and 27: Green waste collection and garbage cart pickup will occur in zones three, four and five based on usual pickup day;
Dec. 30-31: Green waste and gabrage cart pickup in zones one and two based on usual pickup schedule. Blue cart pickup also available upon request by calling 604-927-5496;
Jan. 2-3: Blue and green cart pickup in zones three and four, based on usual pickup day;
and Jan. 6-8: Blue and green cart pickup in zones five, two and one, based on usual pickup day.
The city is asking residents to continue to sort their waste correclty while using the extra service.
