At approximately 11:30 a.m. Monday, a man entered the Bank of Nova Scotia on St. Johns Street and passed a note demanding money from a startled teller, Port Moody police said.

The bank employee complied, handing over a sum of money, and the suspect fled with the cash.

Police remained on scene Monday to gather forensic and video evidence.

Police described the wanted man on Wednesday as white, with a slim build, standing approximately 5' 10" tall and sporting a teardrop tattoo under his left eye.

The suspect was wearing a black hooded sweater and black pants at the time of the robbery.
