A Port Moody midwife is pleading for the return of several pre-natal care instruments that were stolen from her vehicle last week.
The equipment includes a Summit fetal Doppler ultrasound, a blood pressure cuff and a baby scale, and a cotton sling.
"This has affected her ability to care for expecting mothers and newborns," said Port Moody Police Department Const. Luke van Winkel. "She is hoping to have the items back, no questions asked."

BREAK-IN BUST
A Surrey man is facing charges after a string of thefts occurred in the Newport Drive area last week.
Multiple break-ins at a storage locker in the area were reported to police on Dec. 10 and, two days later, several cars, storage lockers and mailboxes were hit in the same area.
On Dec. 15, a Port Moody police officer found a male in the area matching the suspect's description from the previous files. The 29-year-old was arrested and is currently facing charges of possession of a break-in instrument and two counts of break and enter.
THAT WAS FAST
A stolen red mini-bike is being returned to its owner in Port Moody.
The bike was taken in a robbery at 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 13 in the 200-block of Cornell Way but the victim was able to get a license plate number of the suspect vehicle.
A description of a vehicle involved in a robbery at Terra Vista Place 15 minutes later matched the first theft and police were able to arrest the suspect along St. Johns Street.
The bike was recovered along with some tools and a 30-year-old Surrey man is facing two counts of theft under $5,000, theft of a vehicle, two counts breach of probation and one count of possession of stolen property.
COUNTERATTACK NUMBERS
Two roadside suspensions were issued Saturday night as part of the Port Moody Police Department's drinking-driving CounterAttack efforts.
More than 800 vehicles were stopped in a 90-minute period, resulting in one seven-day immediate roadside prohibition and another 24-hour prohibition. Six violation tickets were also issued along with five warnings, while one man was arrested for breach of conditions.
The roadblock was not the only place police were catching impaired drivers.
Officers dealt with one impaired driver who received a 90-day prohibition for alcohol while a 24-hour prohibition was issued for drugs.
