Port Moody police are asking people not to come to the building on St. Johns but to call in their inquiries and concerns during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Port Moody Police Department is establishing procedures to deal with COVID-19 to ensure public and staff safety.

Beginning Wednesday, March 18 at 4 p.m., the front doors of the operations building at 3051 St. Johns St. will be be closed to walk-in clients until further notice.

“We’re trying to limit folks coming in and out,” Sgt. Ian Morrison told The Tri-City News.

The change is to align administrative functions with recommended public safety protocols.

People can still call the office 24/7 on the non-emergency line, 604-461-3456, or send in general inquiries to [email protected].

But if you are experiencing an emergency, dial 911 for immediate assistance.
