Portion of Coquitlam Crunch trail will close Wednesday for washroom construction

Detour will be put in place between Eagle Ridge elementary and Lansdowne Drive along the west-side stairs starting at 7 a.m.
The trail is scheduled to re-open at 5 p.m. Wednesday unless otherwise advised.

A portion of the Coquitlam Crunch Trail will be closed Wednesday as city crews work to construct a new washroom facility.

The popular recreation amenity will be shut down between Eagle Ridge elementary and Lansdowne Drive along the west-side stairs starting at 7 a.m. A new outdoor water fountain with a bottle filler and pet bowl along with landscaping and upgraded utilities are included in the work.

“Please note that access to the rest of the trail will remain open,” the city said in a press release. “During the temporary closure, a detour to the gravel pathway at the east will be provided.”

The trail is scheduled to re-open at 5 p.m. unless otherwise advised.
