The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is investigating in southwest Coquitlam Wednesday morning but police will not confirm whether there has been a murder.
A forensic team has setup a tent around Seaton Avenue and Ducklow Street, while police tape has gone up around a surrounding property and police cruisers are parked on the street.
Coquitlam RCMP Cpl. Michael McLaughlin could not confirm details and said IHIT has taken over the investigation.
"It is our information that there is no risk to the public," he said.
