Two men are in jail and some stolen property has been recovered after the Coquitlam RCMP's Prolific Target Team caught the pair allegedly robbing a home on Winslow Avenue Wednesday afternoon.

Glenn Joseph Young of Surrey and Scott Shefton Warner were arrested after two men were spotted running from the scene of a break and enter. Both suspects are in their twenties and were apprehended after a short foot pursuit.

"Both Mr. Young and Mr. Warner are well known to police," said Coqutilam RCMP Cpl. Jamie Chung. "Our members worked seamlessly with one another during the incident and successfully caught both in the act."

Coquitlam RCMP recovered all of the stolen property and both men were charged with break and enter, Chung said. They appeared in court on Thursday and have been remanded in custody until their next appearance.

The Prolific Target Team is a group of RCMP officers dedicated to targeting prolific offenders.

Police would like to remind the public to keep their homes secure by locking their doors with deadbolts and adding secondary locking mechanisms to their windows.
