Property taxes can be paid at Poirier in Coquitlam

Coquitlam residents have a new option for paying their property taxes this year. The city is offering after-hours payment service at the Poirier Sport and Leisure Complex (633 Poirier St.) between 4 to 8 p.m. Monday to Friday.
The city of Coquitlam is offering after-hours property tax payment service at the Poirier Sport and Leisure Complex (633 Poirier St.) between 4 to 8 p.m. Monday to Friday. Taxes can also be paid at Poirier on two Saturdays (June 22 and 29) between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Coquitlam residents have a new option for paying their property taxes this year.

The city is offering after-hours payment service at the Poirier Sport and Leisure Complex (633 Poirier St.) between 4 to 8 p.m. Monday to Friday. Taxes can also be paid at Poirier on two Saturdays (June 22 and 29) between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Property tax notices were mailed to Coquitlam households last week and residents have until July 2 to make their payments. 

Other ways to pay property tax include:

• in person at the bank;

• online banking on your financial institution’s website;

• by cheque mailed to city hall (postmark must be prior to the payment due date);

• by cheque placed in one of two city hall drop boxes located at the underground parking entrance or by the main entrance facing Burlington Drive;

• and in person at city hall during regular business hours (Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.).
