Coquitlam RCMP are asking for the public's help in identifying a repeat shoplifter who recently robbed a pharmacy of hundreds of dollars in cosmetics before returning and stealing more while the store owner was on the phone with police.
On April 22, a man entered the Shoppers Drug Mart at Burquitlam Plaza and stole a large amount of make-up, Coquitlam Mounties reported Monday.
The store's owner called to report the theft and was still on the phone with police when the man returned, brazenly ripping off more cosmetics and leaving before police arrived.
In all, approximately $600 in cosmetics were taken and the suspect remains at large.
Employees at the store told police they had seen the man shoplifting there in the past.
The suspect is described by police as a Caucasian man in his 30s with an average build. His image was captured by security cameras in the store.
