The nine-member board of education for School District 43 will be headed up by Port Coquitlam trustee Judy Shirra.
Shirra, who was reelected to represent Port Coquitlam on school board during the Nov. 15 election, was acclaimed at Tuesday's inaugural board meeting. She will be assisted by Kerri Palmer Isaak, trustee from Anmore/Belcarra, who was acclaimed as vice-chair.
The next public board of education meeting is Tuesday, Dec. 16.
