The deficit: "They should vote for me because when the board was notified that there was an issue, it took action right away and, being board chair, I had direct involvement in the action moving forward We now have a balanced budget and we will make decisions that maximize resources for the classroom."

Why run: "I see the future of education as really exciting, and with technology and innovation and the vision for the school district - Learning Without Boundaries - that aligns with the BC Education Plan, I want to be a part of educational programming."

Transparency: "We have come along way in terms of openness. The finance committee is reported out at every public meeting. But I also believe there is always room for improvements. Come budget time, the finance committee will play a major role in recommendations."
